Dr. Francisco Guadalupe Mendivil-Moreno is a skilled foot and ankle surgeon with over eight years of experience treating all conditions affecting the foot and ankle. He has a particular interest in end stage arthritis as well as flat foot and high arch foot reconstructive surgery. His background also includes diabetic wound care and limb loss prevention.

Dr. Mendivil-Moreno earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California. Dr. Mendivil completed his three year surgical training in a Podiatric Medicine and Surgery with Added Reconstructive and Rearfoot and Ankle (PMSR/RRA) credentials at Chicago’s Presence St. Joseph Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year.

At UP Medical, Dr. Mendivil-Moreno specializes in the diagnosis and treatment in diverse foot and ankle deformities and wounds affecting the lower extremities.

Procedures raging from soft tissue repairs to bunionectomies and other reconstructive surgeries, he utilizes a wide range of techniques to help patients restore function and relieve pain.

Dr. Mendivil-Moreno is passionate about educating his patients and encourage them in becoming more invested in their healthcare. Each patient care is a personalized approach emphasizing in preventive care to achieve best possible outcomes.

Dr. Joe Chauvapun (known as Dr. Joe) is a board-certified vascular surgeon, and the founder, chairman and Chief Vision Officer of UP Medical. He has over 21 years of extensive experience in carotid artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and peripheral vascular procedures
Dr. Joe was inspired to become a care leader as a young boy. At the age of 4, he fractured his skull and suffered a concussion. During this difficult period, it was his empathetic pediatrician that comforted him, and made him feel confident about a full recovery. This experience served as a catalyst for him to pursue a career in medicine. Described as a charismatic and inspirational leader by family and friends, Dr. Joe founded UP Medical with the vision of reshaping the fragmented and transactional specialty healthcare industry, and replacing it with a whole-person care model. “I’m constantly learning and evolving, at every stage of my life and my career. I always have to reinvent myself.” Dr. Joe’s passion for holistic patient care drives our purpose here at UP Medical.
