Dr. Jennifer Lee is a wound care specialist at UP Medical in Los Angeles, California, with over 18 years of experience. She is board-certified in surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Her experience includes treating all conditions of the foot and ankle, as well as treatment of a variety of foot and lower leg wounds with debridement and advanced modalities. She also has particular expertise in virtually pain-free bunion surgery

Dr. Lee is a warm, compassionate, and meticulous doctor. Her patients and her colleagues appreciate her thoroughness and attention to detail. She strives to deliver a pleasant and painless experience for her patients, and believes that healing a wound and preventing an amputation are akin to saving a life.

Dr. Lee received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Rutgers University. She acquired her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine (NYCPM).

She then completed her three-year surgical training at the Veterans Affairs Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, and the Olive View-UCLA Medical Center. She has also received extensive training in wound care from the VA Limb Preservation Clinic.

Dr. Joe was inspired to become a care leader as a young boy. At the age of 4, he fractured his skull and suffered a concussion. During this difficult period, it was his empathetic pediatrician that comforted him, and made him feel confident about a full recovery. This experience served as a catalyst for him to pursue a career in medicine. Described as a charismatic and inspirational leader by family and friends, Dr. Joe founded UP Medical with the vision of reshaping the fragmented and transactional specialty healthcare industry, and replacing it with a whole-person care model. “I’m constantly learning and evolving, at every stage of my life and my career.
